The G-Spot: By Giia Andrews

September 6th, 2010 - After a hectic summer, Giia returns with a new article about the dread that comes with turning the big 3-0.

April 28th, 2010 - The Truth about VD. A little late on the updating (since the site didn't even reappear until 2 and a half months later), but here's Giia's take on every man's most hated holiday, Valentine's Day.

Bio

My name is Giia and I’m from the wonderful state of Ohio, USA.  I wish I could say sex therapists live these amazingly sexual and fantastic lives, but it would be an outright lie.  What makes someone qualified for this position? I am not totally sure, but I think a lot of it has to do with being willing to listen to people and offer an outside point of view not influenced by involved parties.  Educationally, I have a BA in Psychology, a MS in Criminal Justice, and am about 5-6 months away from my Doctorate (PhD) in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Crime Prevention and Victimology.  I was a sex and relationship therapist for four years in a professional counseling center, and worked with individuals in improving relationships and increasing pleasure/satisfaction sexually with their partners.

On a personal note, I am not involved in any type of relationship (and never have been), nor do I have any children.  Honestly, I’ve never found anyone I could stand to be around for more than a week or so.  I’m 29 years old, I carry a gun (CHL), and am totally obsessed with sports (my teams are the Redwings (NHL), Cavs (NBA), Indians (MLB), Steelers/Browns/Colts (NFL)).  I’m 100% Irish, and it shows – I have green eyes, I love my Jameson, and I have a flash-point temper.  I believe in blunt honesty.  I work out 7 days a week.  I don’t believe in wimpy men or cheap beer.  In my spare time I like to shop (duh), ride 4wheelers and jet skis, and shoot pool.
